The grade 4 – 7 boys had an excellent soccer camp at Camp Discovery. When we arrived the boys had lunch and then participated team building exercise. Thereafter the boys then took part in a two hour training session. A game drive was enjoyed by all. From there supper and then a night walk through the reserve. Before bed the boys watched a DVD then lights out. Saturday started with a rise at 7h00, breakfast and then onto the obstacle course. In true fashion the boys enjoyed the crawl through the mud tunnels, climbing the walls and walking the gauntlet over a very muddy, shallow dam. Back to base where they were washed down and then to the dorm to change and get ready for the next two hour practice session. Stop for lunch back on the field to start the next practice session and then finish the afternoon with a soccer match involving all the boys, the coaches and Mrs Frame on defence. The boys then watched the South Africa vs Wales rugby match on the big screen. Supper and then a short DVD before the boys watched the Portugal vs Turkey soccer match. Sunday early rise, breakfast, packing and tidying the dorm and then onto the bus and back to school. Japari would like thank the soccer coaches for giving up their weekend and going on the camp.
