Japari School constantly strives to provide excellent educational facilities for staff, pupils and the wider community. Our classrooms of the future need to embrace innovative ideas for educational design. It is important to focus closely on the needs, opportunities and aspirations of individual pupils. As changing social and economic conditions increase the need for learning, so too technological advances alter the way that we learn.

The school Governing Board, Parents, Management Team and staff have formed a vision for the future to meet pupils' needs for the 21st century. Our children deserve the very best and these buildings will offer the very best facilities and environment for learning. The new school design is tailored to enhance our existing specialisms, meet our aspirations for the future and reinforce our role at the heart of the learning support community. The new buildings will feature large, light and airy classrooms and a linked covered walkway to all areas of the school. There will also be a new science laboratory, therapy and assessment centre, media centre, five new classrooms and a multi-purpose hall. Each classroom will be cabled to receive computer and interactive boards. An outdoor tiered mini amphi theatre will provide an ideal performance and presentation area. All ground floor classrooms will open on two sides to a gardened area. Over the next couple of months detailed plans will be developed for each of the five proposed

 
    

phases and the required planning permission will be sought. This has seen the formation of a professional team comprising an architect, quantity surveyor, town planner, engineers and construction advisors. Japari School is about to embark on a new, exiting and innovative journey. The architects' impression of the new school campus above, certainly provide us with a very clear and well defined pathway to the future.
